Okay, time to resurrect this a bit.
I recently have been think about this project and thinking some simple tweaks could revamp it entirely.
1 new combat system
2 new backstory
3 new movement system
I'd love to set the game in either the new Elithian Universe or the old one (either would work) and it would be a top-down hack 'n' slash/rpg (graphically think pokemon still) in which you could play as various races to play as various classes. So Trinks, would be better at defense and buffing robots, where as Aegi have their lightweight armour, providing them with good speed, but they lack the "big" weapons to deal maximum damage.
If we where to do it say in the Old Elithia the races I propose initially implementing as playable are:
Aegi (Rogue -ish, high speed)
Dremeton (Tank ish, robotic armour/suits)
Notix (Big Attacks, big weapons)
And as NPC's
Aegi
Dremeton
Notix
Trinks (Blacksmiths in Notician Areas)
Hea'Hoan (Hea'Hoan Bucks)
I apologise to those who's races I forgot, I tend to get confused with the newer guys...

Sounds good!
I think both settings (pre- and post-Blast) would work fine: the first allows for a more vivid story, green environments and lots of creatures, whereas the second would do good for a more gloomy story and environment. Sprite-wise, I think the second will be easier (good-looking dull colours are more easily made than good-looking bright colours, IMO), but I have no particular preference.

Sweet! The game is back in production! To be honest, I was actually thinking up some ideas for the Elithian Alliance game just a few days ago. I didn't really come up with much, just some ideas for what travelling from planet to planet could be like...

Also is it possible if I could rename the Jorgasians to the Byrnnians?
Also, the Jorgasians would be (if any) medium-ish armour with bio weapons as their main buff.
Cool idea, each race would have a special power like Skyrim. For instance, Jorgasians (Byrnnians) would be able to cast a potent poison on any melee weapons. (Does not consume poison items)
Ex: Trinks would be able to set a powerfull shield that blocks almost all damage, but can barely move and attacks are weakened during shield time.

I get confused at what they look like.
I had an idea of skill trees which where unique for each race, and could unlocks powers, but each race had different conflicting branches.
Like for example the Notix had 4 paths
1 The Way of the Trink
2 The Way of the Avai
3 The Way of the Gant
4 The Way of the Crani
And the paths would only unlock 4 skills each. But, taking the first skill in the Trink blocked the first in Crani for example. (But some passive buffs couls till be taken.) Then the last skill could only be taken from 1 tree.
Perhaps we could do some thing like that for each race, but different numbers and shapes.

How exactly would those paths and abilities work? How much overlap between abilities from the various paths will be possible?

Well I had the idea of 4 "active" skills and 1 "uber" skill, and about 4 Passive buffs per path, and each Notix path was completely separated.

Don't get me into my ideas. If I get a good one, you'll try to get it to work and it won't work so then you get angry and rage quit.

Okay this died, but I have an idea.
How about a Pokemon ROM hack? They're basically a mod for Pokemon ROMS (Which are backup copies of your game on the PC).
We could do:
A fully Elithian Game
A fakemon Game
A themed Pokemon Game
A new Pokemon Game
Either of the first 2 would be most original, although I can't work out how the first would work...

Well, I don't like Pokemon because it is a little kids game where you have a bunch of random cards that do stupid things. Among other things as well.

Basically using tools you can edit maps, pokemon, cutscenes, textures pretty much everything except the core mechanics.
That can be done but requires you to manually go into the code...

Oh have you actually played the Card Game and know the rules? It is really a good one.

Sounds nice! I'm just wondering how we'd use the battle system... we generally don't let our pets fights for us. Perhaps we'll let droids fight each other? Or we change the pokemon to Aegi, Notix etc., make the player a commander, and have him/her command a squad of soldiers.

That was the only sensible Idea I could think of.
Maybe being a rebellion and "pokeballs" are convincing people to join you?
Either way,
Notix evolves into
Notix-Gant (If Average of Attack and Defense is highest stat)
Notix-Avai (If Speed is highest stat
Notix-Crani (If Average of Special Attack and Special Defense is highest stat)
Or
Notix-Prime (If 2 or more of the previous are tied.)
And I guess they're:
Ice
Ice/Fighting
Ice/Flying
Ice/Pyschic

It's been a long time since I've played a Pokemon game, so I can't really remember all types and their respective strengths and weaknesses, but I guess the Aegi would be Normal/Grass and Fighting types. Hymid would obviously be Water types, and so would the Dremeton, but I'm not yet sure about the Hyvons and Theleans. Fire, Psychic, Steel, Dark, Fighting, and more would all somewhat fit them.
I can see them as either very strong, non-evolving characters, or evolving characters that start weak (the biological slug-like Theleans) and eventually become some of the strongest characters.

They share many characteristics, but they've actually evolved separately: the Dremeton are native to Elithia, the Hymid to Hyrolia. And while the Dremeton are aquatic (they use special equipment when going out of the water), Hymid are amphibious, and often prefer their planet's surface. The Drometodont share a common ancestor with the Dremeton though, so they could evolve from the same source.
Hea'hoan would be a nice addition!
How about wildlife? Non-sentient Notix, Faryth, Strooboo, Roarbirds (I love those!), Trangii and the dozens of other species we created?
And of course Centens! They'd probably be Legendaries, or at least incredibly rare characters.
Can we alter cutscenes and such in such a way that we can create a whole new story? That way we could also add characters like Creaton and Cense, and of course the political leaders of all Empires!
