Of these five names, which one do you think fits our world best?

Happy Post-Apocalypse
I think it would be great to create these pages, but we'll need a concrete idea of what the roleplay will be about first. Any suggestions?
So there would be one main page for the roleplay, and one thread for every faction?

@ Aegonian
Yep, that is the idea. 7 pages I guess. If I count Aegonian, Jorgas, Thunderpants, Lunark, Sataz, And me. 6 factions, and the main information page.
We could create new content and use old content from past Role-plays. I guess a medieval roleplay like we always did.
Each faction could be it's own race, Humans, Vampires, Orcs, Elves, Dwarves, And maybe something special, something to make it unique.Although Demons as the sixth faction is a good choice, it's not original. We need some sort of signature race.
Those races were just ideas, we could have something completly original, like a down-to-Elithia roleplay, where we each are the leader of our race.
That is actually a really good idea, I am sure it would attract some die-hard roleplayers.
We could also have the language plug-in, so only people in a faction can understand what they are saying. Us leaders would discuss what should happen in private back here and announce to our "troops" after. All planned, like wrestling(XD If you have not guessed, I am just typing away right now) So events like wars, alliances, truces, secrets, trades, things like that.

6 Unique Races?
How about we each suggest one, which we would like? I kinda like the idea of Golems. Maybe with Redstone consumption powers? Mainly building in Double Slabs, Iron, Pumpkins and Lamps? Other than that I think it sounds great. Maybe if we started with like a very small town each to expand.
Also if we do I have a request. Make Smooth stone drop ores (infrequently), and make ore blocks rarer but in bigger veins.

Re: Alternate Minecraft Roleplay Themes
Interesting idea. That was what I was thinking, that or the space race idea. I like that idea, and not because it's my idea, but because it has so many possibilities for creativity.
EDIT: So me and Notix have been talking. He says that the space race Idea is too un-human for MC, but I was thinking hey, all our races (AFAIK) are humanoid-ish, we could do some magic with plugins and skins. I am pretty sure each race could have a skin that fits more or less well into minecraft. What do you guys think?

Re: Alternate Minecraft Roleplay Themes
Well, Jorgasians/Dhag look a bit weird. The Jorgasians are like birds and the Dhag kind of a doglike face, so It wouldn't make very good skins.

Re: Alternate Minecraft Roleplay Themes
So I guess we have 2 Ideas concerning the roleplay that could bring the alliance back to glory, both using the 6 factions idea.
I would say that these two ideas are basically the same base, with different stories. 6 factions. all fighting, making peace, trade, arguing, threatening, then fighting again. with 6 factions we can have really interesting love/hate triangles. For example: Aegonian's faction likes Sataz's faction, but dislikes Lunark's. However, Sataz and Jorgas are allies, and Jorgas likes Lunark. So now Aegonian and Jorgas dislike each other, and because of this, Sataz now dislikes Aegonian, (dislike is just the generic word we should use for any negative relationships) But let's say, Lunark's and King's faction are allies, so King also dislikes aegonian, and likes everyone else pretty much. Like and allied are basically Peace and Allied. Dislike can be rival, or at War. OK, I am getting tired I have to stop typing really long messages.
*(Things like this happen regularly, just look at planetside 2. People are not only using guerrila tactics, but also creating propaganda videos for their factions to recruit new members. Things like that.)
- Medival Roleplay (with Unique Races) Pretty self-explanatory. Our usual roleplay, but with the 6 factions. We all control a fantasy race as our faction (us 6 active people) and lead them through a bloody struggle
- Space Race : We can work on this, but I had an idea: An alternate timeline where instead of an alliance, the factions are in an uneasy peace, which could break at any minor incident, creating a chaotic world great for roleplay, which could really emulate how a world that is on the brink of chaos works*. Since we have never really tried this, I think this would certainly have interesting results.

Re: Alternate Minecraft Roleplay Themes
I would love to do a space-themed roleplay, but I think it wouldn't work well in Minecraft. Although most races are humanoids, many of them have special features like elongated ears, tails, extra appendages etc. Spaceships would probably be a major part of such a roleplay, but Minecraft doesn't have a good way of creating them.
A medieval roleplay could work very well, but as there are quite a lot of them out there, we'll really need a unique strength. The various races could work, if we make them unique enough.
Would we use a custom-build world, or just use a nice seed? I think a custom world could open up a lot of unique possibilities, but it'll take a while to build it. We would probably use Worldpainter to create the basic shape of the world, and then refine it in-game, probably using plug-ins like WorldEdit.
I'll try to come up with a couple of unique races soon.

Re: Alternate Minecraft Roleplay Themes
I'd love a custom built world. Maybe if we discussed the general jist of the world before hand.
Like I'd love a mountain range with a large plateau for the Golem City/Town.
I'd like Golems to be kinda like Mayans in the build style, creating the stepped pyramid city of Cypyuu (Made from Clay, Bricks, and Pumpkins!).
If we do change map could we get a copy for download?

Re: Alternate Minecraft Roleplay Themes
I think I could lead some sort of arcane race, similar to humans.
I would like pleasant snowy birch forest with rolling hills near an Ocean, with a nice open plain on the coast with a river coming from the mountains.
The architecture could be similar to Gothic with tall, skinny towers and pointed roofs. The materials could be local birch wood, imported woods, stone bricks, snow and ice.
Also, what texture pack would we use? I personally use Johnsmith, it's a very good Fantasy texture pack but could also be very realistic. We could also use a specialized Painterly, but it might be too low-res.

I'd love a slightly modified Eldpack. It's 16x16 and I prefer it over default. It's low-res but feels like it was made low-res instead of the downscaled higher res of than default.
That and lower resolutions are easier to modify.
Also the idea of Chaotic Daemons also appeals to me... I may have to think about ideas.
Current list of Possibilities (All kind of creative!):
Golems (Clay Automatons, a force of nature and master craftsmens)
Daemons of Knowledge (Obsessed with books and knowledge)
Void Pirates (Yarr + Portals)
Nature Spirits (50's style mafia of Melon sprites)
Fire Spirits (Burny Burny )
Re: Alternate Minecraft Roleplay Themes
Void Pirates? That's even worse (in the way of being cruel and mean) than Sky Pirates!
New Frostholm: (Ice Elemented Arcane Scholars, Airship builders [if we have a mod for that!])
EDIT: New Frostholm is the name of the city if you can't figure that out.

Ender Pirates...
Well I think that may have to be it, presuming I can build either in the End (or an End themed nether??), but have some for of reasonable access to the real world.
I already have a couple of crew mates to try and help me control thegreat unwashed general public.

Re: Alternate Minecraft Roleplay Themes
I guess every race has its own unique environment? We can try to think of new races by fitting them in with the environments in the world.
I'd say we have:
Mountains: Inhabited by the Golems (Thunderpants)
Icefields: Inhabited by Arcanes (Jorgas)
Forests:
Deserts:
Swamps:
Islands:
Plains: These would probably be the neutral grounds.
The Nether and End are also options for environments.

Re: Alternate Minecraft Roleplay Themes
Us scholars of Frostholm despise you thieving dirty pigs who eat Enderman liver for dinner! (what else are you supposed you eatin the end anyways?)
Frostholm would be like a Monarchy, and I would be Duke Jorgas.
EDIT: I said earlier that Frostholm is in a clearing on a river next to the ocean. And theres a forest around it.

Re: Alternate Minecraft Roleplay Themes
I may of ninja'd with an edit but I'd love to live in either the End or End-Nether Mix as Void Pirates.
Re: Alternate Minecraft Roleplay Themes
Wow, right on my flight home, huh?
@Topic
I would personally be a band of desert marauders/shaiks/travellers/ewoks who live in well, the desert. Our buildings would be simple, comprising of Sandstone, Fountains, and well... that's about all to it. Example of what I mean: this
Anyway, I guess the capital, Volcitius (Vole-sit-e-us) would be in a HUGE desert, With lots of dunes and sand, and stuff.
I also guess that their culture would be revolved around... I am actually not sure. Some suggestions would be much appreciated.
I should add that the main race would not be humans, but more like humanoid figures wearing those cloaks things with glowing orange eyes.

Re: Alternate Minecraft Roleplay Themes
Your culture could be centered around the sacred solitary block of dirt in the center of town. Or you could worship a cow, pick your poison.

Re: Alternate Minecraft Roleplay Themes
I haven't commented on here in a while, have I?
Anyway, If I could choose where to live, I'd like to either live in a desert (as those redguard warrior-likes from skyrim), in a snowy biome (as nords, not as arcanes) in the end, though notix' idea is better than mine, or underground, maybe something like a giant hole in the ground with glowstone crystals floating about keeping everything in mid-air

Erm how about water? or a Cactus?
Either way can I make a suggestion for every race's capital. Can they have a pub/inn/bar/tavern with a custom potion spawner designed for there faction?
So for example the Void Pirates could have Moon Grog (So wholesome you can chew it, restoring some food).
Where as the Arcane Ice People could have Tundra Tonic (Keeps you cool, giving you short period (1 minute?) of fire resistance)
The
Would having a permanent firework spawner per faction being too over the Top?
Also this is the texturepack I suggest!
Re: Alternate Minecraft Roleplay Themes
My race will live in the caverns beneath the forest, with some watchtowers above ground, probably integrated into the trees (4x4 custom trees). The roots of some of the large trees would also extend into the caverns below, and could probably be used as stairways to the surface. Most of our constructions would be made of a combination of wood and cobblestone, I think.
"
I like the idea of the potion spawner! My race could either have Invisibility potions, or Nightvision potions.
The fireworks may be a bit over the top, yeah.

Re: Alternate Minecraft Roleplay Themes
I like the ideas of the taverns, but I think having free invisibility potions is a bit OP. I guess nightvision would be ok.
@Sataz: I'm not sure how that would work out with being Nords or Redguards, because we'r looking for original ideas, and I think that the Birch Forest would be a little overpopulated. But that's my opinion.

Re: Alternate Minecraft Roleplay Themes
Well I've managed to corrupt 2 worlds via trying to make firework spawners.. I guess I'll try Potion spawners soon. It can't be that hard.
I think Nightvision Potions if you live in caves would be okay. Are the races going to have any other special things?
I thought of a cool way to access the End. Encase an End Portal in Bedrock, and have in various locations, permanent firework explosions at ground level. When you step in them, a mob spawner activates, activating a pressure plate, activating a command block, teleporting the player into the End Portal.
I was thinking that firework spawners if manipulated correctly could be used to add detail to cities, like smokey chimneys etc.
EDIT: 4 worlds down now...

Re: Alternate Minecraft Roleplay Themes
Well, this idea seems to have revived the forum a bit.
Anyway, all your ideas are great! I am really liking Aegonian's, where he mixes his usual forest theme (DON'TBANMEAEGONIANIMSORRY) with something fresh. It's really cool! But
@Aegonian, what exactly will your race be? Have you decided, or do you need a little help? We would be glad to help. Right guys?

The only reason we are ever quiet is because we have nothing to discuss.
I want to kill whoever thought not making NBT tags easily editable was a good idea.
Are we going to have unique powers per faction?
Re: Alternate Minecraft Roleplay Themes
I think we should have unique powers to help differentiate the factions. We should also have faction allegiances, so for example
GOOD- Treehugging dwarfs Undecided (Aegonian)
GOOD- Some Nice guys
Neutral- Mauraders (me)
Neutral- Scholars (Jorgas) Possibly good
EVIL- Daemons
EVIL- Some power-hungry guys
