Re: Project Madness!
I'm better at ruins anyway. Last time I made a lake, it failed. (epicly) I'm only good at swamps.

Re: Project Madness!
Filling them will probably be as easy as pie for me.
Rivers should have lots of flowing water and little still water, so they should be made near/on top of hills and mountains. We should probably start out by digging away a single layer, though. A river uneven in height is much harder to fill if it's deep, and I can always grant river builders god mode, and of course, diamond tools.

Re: Project Madness!
Is it possible to create rocks sticking out of the water to create currents? or will that stop the water?

Re: Project Madness!
That will just replace the water block. If you remove the stone afterwards, you do get a flow, but it'll be a flow from all directions towards the now empty spot.
Anyway, I've marked certain paths and locations with torches and redstone torches:
- A path of redstone torches indicates where a gravel road will be made.
- Two torches, next to each other and next to a large body of water, indicates the location of a future dock. These are usually connected to gravel roads.
- A square with torches at the corners and redstone torches in between them, possibly combined with a few more torches, indicates the location of a Command Tower.

True.(but I will still suck your blood for that) What I meant was, what beacon will we use to signal where they will be?Sataz wrote:your question was a bit... how shall I put this... vague
Re: Project Madness!
Not sure yet. Probably a combination of redstone torches and normal torches, though.
Re: Project Madness!
why not mark it with something like it, easy to demolish and still the same question... flooding, or nice BIG rivers

Re: Project Madness!
Primarily small streams flowing down a hill or mountain, with small still sections in them. They will be two to five blocks wide, I think, and one to four blocks deep.
Re: Project Madness!
ty. any waterfalls planned
Marking the territory with a shaft of torches?

Re: Project Madness!
Shaft with torches could do. Perhaps we should have one or more streams start on top of a mountain (that would allow for waterfalls).
Re: Project Madness!
Just saying if you make waterfalls, can you pease include the overhang, plunge pool and gorge...
