@Aegonian: The world should be evenly spaced for each faction, so that the Pyrorks aren't forced into a corner and the Erokki aren't everywhere. Equal opportunity, that's what I say.
We should have MinecraftMMO plugin on the server. It allows you to have skills in different types of trade, like specializing fighting with axes or excavating terrain. It's a very good plugin, you should try it out!

I think that the world to map ratio should be 100:1.
So for every pixel, 100 blocks? Or is that too big?
EDIT: I guess that is too big. maybe 10:1?

Hmm lemme think, that map is 512 by 512.
Now a good city is what? 200*200 300x300?
We need 6 Big Cities with a decent gap between them?
So how about
1 pixel = ((DistanceBetweenCitiesInCities+1)*SizeOfCity*NumberOfCities)/SizeOfMapblocks
So
1 Pixel = ((2(?)+1)*250*6)/512 blocks
1 Pixel = 8.7890625 blocks
1 Pixel = 9 blocks.
May as well make it easier.

Aeg good find with the Custom Drops, but could we make it so that certain races got extra/different drops. For example Pyrorks could find Netherrack, where as the The Aettir get extra bones.
Also could we have a legitimate way to make netherbrick? I know there was a plugin called nBricks.
And I've added more lore to the Pyrorks.
Lastly have we decided on a texture pack? I'm still liking the Eldpack for it's low resolution awesome.

I really don't like the Eldpack, it looks too cartoony. The pixels are too big, and they hurt my eyes. I reccomend dokucraft, it's much better.

U don't wanna go for a texture pack too realistic, it's still minecraft you know, even if the tp is realistic, it's still just blocks

I honestly don't like the way of Eldpack, it's way too simplistic. And I'm not going for realistic, I'm going for RPG looking. Trust me, you can make really cool stuff with Doku.

I was suggesting Eld as it would be easier to modify and suitable for even lower-end machines, but I'll be happy so long as we have 1 unified pack so everything looks nice for everyone!

I think that one of us should take the time to make a customized Dokucraft. Because the presets are not often the best. But if we need to make it easy so we can get a bunch of people, do that then.

Cobblestone looks rugged not bricky
Stone looks nice with Cobblestone
Obsidian is natural not bricky

That's normally what I choose. It's only common sense that cobble should actually look like cobble when you have stone bricks.

I was more think about the Pyrork builds... That and make cobblestone paths actually viable.

I don't know how to make HD skins, but it would be cool to have the leaders have them.
Also, I'm having trouble uploading my skin to the MNCS website, where can I upload it here?

I'll make a template for my race and I'll happily Hd-ify yours. You simply use a mod, which lets you see there skin from a custom database.
I don't know why I made stuff Red. I just must of picked the nicest looking one. Also I just picked any GUI.

Do HD skins work, actually? Last time I tried (which was quite a while back though), there was no good way to do HD skins in SMP. I can make HD skins though, so if they do work, that'd be awesome!
I think the texture pack looks nice, but I've never liked Doku's stone and grass. The standard stone looks too much like cobblestone, and cobblestone looks too much like bricks. The grass also looks a bit weird, in my opinion. My favorite texture pack is probably a mixture between Doku and John Smith.

I have been doing some testing, and if we must conduct a democratic vote, I would go for eldpack, it just looks a lot better.
I feel the textures feel a lot more lively then dokucraft, much more homely, and I think that comforting feeling might attract more players.

I honesty don't mind. Maybe we should just use a Johnsmith/Doku/Whatever Combo.
However should create a list of what sort of generic requests we want?
Stone - Smooth
Cobble - Cobbley
Obsidian - Rough
Potion - Beer?
A biome so grass is grey/black
The plugin DrugMeUp so that we can assign potion affects to generic potions, allowing for the potion spawner (pub) to be easier, and not generating free glass bottles.
A source of Chainmail armour (Even if it's a drop from zombie pigmen, zombies and skeletons wearing it).
Make silverfish blocks a common "ore" so that mining is a bit more dangerous.
Make Nethermobs spawn near bedrock?
Make Nether materials spawn as ores near bedrock?
Add a layer of Obsidian around y = 20, below which are the nether mobs/ores and lava.
Make Endstone an ore? So it's like marble?
Make Ice an ore?
Make the conventional ores rarer.
The previously mention stone changes.

I'll download the Eldpack, John Smith and perhaps a couple of other texture packs to make some comparison shots.

I think we should allow TNT usage in the server, but there should be a couple of restrictions. For example, TNT usage in Towns should not be possible, and maybe we should only allow TNT usage below a certain layer (useful for mining).
