THEA Minecraft -- Lore and more!
Races
Aeduri
Also known as the High or Civilized Elves, the Aeduri are gentle elves. They live in beautiful white stone buildings, of which the roofs are made of precious blue plates.
They generally have fine light-coloured skin, brown or blond hair, blue eyes, and long, sharp ears.
Aeduri are required to behave decently, and to be social. They eat their food cooked, and often dine together. The Aeduri are known for their incredible teamwork, which has protected their Cast for many hundreds of years.
Aeduri usually fight with iron swords or bows, while wearing leather or iron armour. Stronger equipment is usually imported or taken from dead bodies.
The Aeduri originally came from Aedana, a land far north of Gaekylha, past the Sea of the Serpent. It is said to have been a forested island with bright white mountains, but no-one has been there for over a thousand years.
-More coming soon-
Bomur
Also known as the Wood Elves, the Bomur live in Baerdel: Gaekylha's most forested hold. They generally live in simple, small wooden houses built of imported wood (they do not cut trees in their own forests), or in abandoned houses built by other Elves or Humes.
They usually have rough, slightly darker skin, brown hair, brown eyes, and sharp ears.
Bomur often lack great social skills, but do have a strong sense of kinship. They eat their food raw, and are disgusted by cooked food.
Bomur usually wear self-made leather armour. Their main weapon is the bow, but swords are often used as well. Equipment stronger than iron is almost always stolen from other races.
The Bomur originally came from the province of Rhahinelm, just south of Gaekylha, where large populations of Bomur still exist. Their native language is the Bomuri Tongue, a language known and understood by only few so-called 'Nawe' (not us/outsiders). Bomuri names are usually simple combinations of Bomuri words. An example is 'Erlan', which means 'he (who) hunts': 'Er' is 'he', 'lane' is 'to hunt'. A name for a Bomuri huntress could be Eslan, meaning 'she (who) hunts'. As Bomur are usually given their name when they come of age, their names often fit their occupation.

Draton
The Dratons are power-hungry Humes, who live in stone or wooden houses. They are infamous for cutting down entire forests in the process of material-gathering.
Dratons have light skin, and generally dark hair. Facial hair is far more common then in most other races.
A clearly defined hierarchy is characteristic of the Dratons. There is a single King, a small number of knights, and a large amount of commoners. At times of war, all Dratons, male and female, are equipped with (often incomplete) iron armour and an iron sword.
The Dratons are usually equipped with iron equipment. Diamond equipment, which is worn by strong knights, is usually imported from the Gordnor.
The Draton come from Dhagura, the province west of Gaekylha. It is home to deserts, plains and a few forests, but most of the province is now devoid of trees: The Draton cut them all down for use in the construction of houses and weaponry.
-More coming soon-
Gordnor
The Gordnor are dwarves living in the mountains of Gaekylha. They are great stonecutters, who are known to build large underground mazes.
Gordnor always have long orange or brown beards, but usually have little to no other hair.
The Gordnor are very social beings. They live together in the mines of Daggerhelm Valley, almost constantly collecting minerals and ores. Of all races, the Gordnor are the most technically advanced.
Gordnor are known to sell high quantities of ores and tools to other races. A common trading material is food, as the Gordnor spend only little time hunting.
Gordnor usually wear strong, iron or diamond armour, along with an axe or sword. Bows are incredibly rare.
Gordnor are natives of Gardevon, a province south of Rhahinelm. They moved to Gaekylha when the Great Quake destroyed most of their cities.

Aenur
Also known as the Wizards, the Aenur are the Guardians of the Holy Lands. These immortal beings took the form of either Humes or Elves, but possessed much greater physical and mental power. Even though the Aenur are not omniscient, they are known as the wisest entities. Their purpose was to protect the Holy Lands from corruption and chaos, but many abandoned this burden. As they choose to socialize with other Races, they weakened over time. Some turned to no more than humble conjurers. Little is known about the Aenur's origin, but they now are established and accepted parts of the communities. Rumours tell the Aenur secretly convene every few months, to discuss the fates of those Unworthy.

Re: THEA Minecraft -- Lore and more!
The Gordnor sound cool, but I'm afraid I'll stay a Draton.
I have begun work on my new Mansion and Dungeon as discussed.

Re: THEA Minecraft -- Lore and more!
I just noticed the distinct lack of Vampires, is that an end of their reign?
Re: THEA Minecraft -- Lore and more!
Most likely, the new roleplay won't feature vampires. We did not expect that the people that wanted to be a vampire actually didn't play like vampires. They exploited the benefits of being a vampire, e.g. by building (terribly ugly) cottages in trees(!) to prevent getting burned in the daylight. Vampires were meant to hide (underground) in daylight and hunt in the darkness, but unfortunately, they didn't.

Meh. Anyway, hmm, I wonder what the Gordnor are like. They do sound fun.
Re: THEA Minecraft -- Lore and more!
Ummmm, I'll play as a dwarf because I like digging holes?!?! No, no vamps. The Vamp people cheat.

AAAARGH!!! NOOOOOOO!!! Jorgas, WHAT have you done!!! Now I can't call myself a proud Gordnor anymore, I'll always be referred to as a Simon :'( We dwarves do lots more than just digging holes, WE WERE A PROUD PEOPLE!!!! but now you have Scathed our reputation by making a reference to that wretched Simon
@Aegonian are mages/wizards available for me?
Yes, that was not entirely serious, though I do regret having the name of Simon cast upon the Gordnor
hatemail to me for not loving simon that much via pm

Re: THEA Minecraft -- Lore and more!
Okay if we can't have vampires how about Werewolves?
A part of me wants to be a Simon. I'm not sure though.

Re: THEA Minecraft -- Lore and more!
WHY MUST EVERYONE BE A SIMON. Oh well, how about a Bilbo baggins?
No? Aeduri sounds fun for a change, I guess I will try them.

Re: THEA Minecraft -- Lore and more!
It is not a problem that you dislike Simon, I personally think he's getting quite predictable and unfunny after watching him for a time.Sataz wrote:hatemail to me for not loving simon that much via pm
It of course is funny to watch some Brits fooling around and playing games, but I think they're getting rather boring.
@everybody
Anyway, I will reveal more information about the wizards very soon, but I need to finish some other things first.
This, by the way, is not the place to choose your race. I advise against choosing a race with the amount of information you've been provided with, since much epic stuff is coming soon.

Re: THEA Minecraft -- Lore and more!
@Jorgas: ah, so that's why Bilbo baggins was "possessed" by the ring, just like Sméagol and frodo... Two of the main characters -hobbits- want that thing and makes them lose their mind. That's what the books are about.

Saw what? Oh god I've gone blind!
Wait I can still type on the keyboard...
I can't touch type.
I must not be blind!
Hooray you caused and cured me of blindness!
EDIT: Are their going to be wizards? If yes, I think I may need 1.

Nah, I'll let him voice his opinion. This isn't China.
Also they do seem rather powerful. It may make everyone want to be them...
