I don't like having scarce resources, because then theres only 2 sources of iron in the whole world. Same with luxury resources.
Bagsy umm something, I don't know. I'll just pick something.

Re: Civilization V
I've been working on a custom Elithia-based map for Civilization V, and the first version should be done soon. I've now started adding in pre-set empires, but I'm not sure which empires to choose: what empires do you think would fit your roleplay race? Also, as not all races actually have a large presence on Elithia itself: where would you place your empire? And what would the custom names for your leaders, civilizations and capitals be? And last of all, what colours would you like to use?
For me, I've chosen the Roman Empire, as they seem to fit the Aegi's style. Their capital is the largest city on the planet, and they have a lot of smaller cities spread across the planet. The leader is called Lyiin Taemera, the empire is called the Aeginian Empire. The capital is obviously called Creon, and it's located in the center of Creon Island. For the colour scheme, I've chosen green and dark green.

Re: Civilization V
I'm tempted to suggest the Danish for Notix as they have the ski infantry which fit 'em nicely.
Otherwise the Russians are nice fit I feel.

Re: Civilization V
I usually view Sweden as the T.A. I'm not really sure where I would start on Elithia, there never really was a colony or anything there.

Re: Civilization V
Alright, I'll add your empires soon! I think I'll use the Russians for the Notix, then: I'm using the Danish for the Dremeton, due to their embarked units bonuses. What will your cities be called?
Currently, these are the empires that are on the map:
Team 1: The Elithian Alliance
Aeginian Union (Leader: Lyiin Taemera) - Roman Empire (One gigantic capital, many smaller colonies all over the world)
Dremeton Union (Leader: Oonaui of Dake) - Danish Empire (They are an aquatic species, so the embarked units bonus seems fitting)
Hea-Hoan Empire (Leader: Far-Hea) - Incan Empire (The Hea-Hoan are flying creatures, so having no movement penalty on hills is appropriate)
Team 2: Thelean Dominion
Hyvonian Dominion (Leader: Creaton) - Songhai Empire (This one is temporary, still looking for a better civ)
Xavanan Dominion (Leader: Ardahax) - Babylonian Empire (The Xavanant, a sentient robotic race created by the Theleans, are both scientific and defensive, just like Babylon)
Team 3: Cratonian Dominion
Cratonian Kingdom (Leader: Arkhahak) - Mongolian Empire (The Cratons have always been very aggressive. They are not strong enough to take on the larger empires, but will often fight the smaller ones: a bonus against city-states seems fitting)
Ventronian Empire (Leader: Arhamus) - Japanese Empire (The Ventrons have been through many hardships, but still fight as fiercely as ever: the Japanese bonus seems fitting)

Re: Civilization V
You could set the Notix up as a millitaristic city state as we weren't powerful.
And namewise, Sair-Reen.

Re: Civilization V
I think that we should have multiple maps, so that we won't have things that really didn't exist on the actual roleplay. I don't need a civ or even a city-state on the Elithia map.
I'm also making one already for the T.A.'s homeplanet, Scii.

Re: Civilization V
I'm already working on various versions of the map: two with just the empires that actually had cities on Elithia (one of which has multiple cities for each, one only has the starting cities), and one in which everyone's empire has a city, even if they didn't in the roleplay. I'm also going to start working on other planets. I'm thinking of doing Hyrolia, Har-Magil, possibly Icicle and maybe a few from outside the Gar-Aeroix.
Re: Civilization V
Scii is pretty temperate, lots of jungles everywhere. The thing is, it's really hard to place down hills on the map, because I really don't have a clue where to put them.

YOU GUYS DID IT AGAIN BLGLDGFSDGFDH-
Ok, I will read the messages then post a decent response down here.

Allrighty, I have read all the stuffs. I suppose that the Erixians, as a resilient race that has gone through an era of slavery as well as living in a desert/lava planet, I guess that they could be a city-state OR a small empire. For their civ, I was thinking maybe Ethiopia, for they have a bonus when fighting bigger civs. Or the mayans, because they are just awesome (Actually, it is due to their long count calendar, which reflects the Dur'mongdal, an ancient Erixian calendar system based off the rotation of the galaxy which also affects the spiritual con- well yeah you guys get it). So yeah let's go with the mayans.
Their leader would be The Matriarch, and their cities are named off Alpha-1, Beta-2, Gamma-3, and so on and so forth. The capital is located in the desert, with a bunch of Oasis(plural) near it (this is just so it's a bit more fair; desert civs have literally no food) with the other cities located underneath it towards more luscious pastures. I cannot find a map at the moment, so just put the start location on the edge of the desert. Colours? Orange as primary, Yellow as secondary. They are on the first team.

Re: Civilization V
The T.A. could be represented by Germany using a blue and white/light grey color. The special units represent the standing army of the T.A.
EDIT: Germany dosn't fit very well. Hopefully in the future there will be mod support for multiplayer.

Re: Civilization V
Here's a .zip containing the Elithian Map Pack mod:
http://www.mediafire.com/?b1vc1tdui1721oi
The maps are still a WIP, so if there's stuff missing/wrong, that's probably why.
You can install the mod by placing the extracted folder into My Documents/My Games/Sid Meier's Civilization 5/MODS.

Re: Civilization V
I'm now working on the Elithia - Modern Scenario, but I noticed I still don't have official names for the leaders of the Notix and the T.A.: what should they be called?
Re: Civilization V
Very awkwardly, the leader of the T.A. is called the Jorgas. I think I was the IV in the roleplay. Note that I named my account after the leader, no the leader after my account.

Re: Civilization V
I'll add you to the map ASAP! And don't worry, the same holds true for my username: it is based on the continent where most Aegi live: Aegonia.
Also, when will we be able to continue our Civilization match? Maybe we can agree on a date and time at which we can all play again!

Re: Civilization V
I never named the Notix Leaders, they did shuffle around twice, I only named the trinks.
Erm Just put something like Notix Representative.

Re: Civilization V
I forgot to tell you this, but I'm at vacation right now and I won't be back until the 22nd.
Venice suits New Frostholm well. But no civs really represent the T.A. very well if at all.

I'm so sowwy. When I get back from vacation though, there is nothing else planned for the summer. It's just a coincidence that camp and vacation were in a week of each other.

Re: Civilization V
On the Civ V maps, you mean? I haven't touched them for a couple of days, but the scenario for modern Elithia has all of the cities and culture borders ready now. I now have to add buildings to the cities, give everyone a fair amount of culture and gold to start with, and place some units on the map.
I have some more ideas for maps, one of which is another scenario set on Elithia, based on the Great War. This one will be set in the industrial or modern era, with only four empires: the Aegi, teamed up with the Dremeton, the Hyvon (who have a peace treaty with the Aegi and Dremeton), and the Craton, who are at war with everyone else.

Re: Civilization V
I am back from the cottage, as is subtly noticeable from the existence of this message. I learned some cool things about BNW while playing it, and I have established some base rules we should follow:
-Always play on Chieftan. The A.I will provide the illusion of a threat to victory without it actually existing, making it fun as long as you let the wool be pulled over your eyes.
-Never play as Venice. Just kidding, you can totally play as Venice. Ye know, if you want to RP as a city-state.
-City-states can actually take over other cities. (But they just raze them so :L)
-With the addition of BNW, it adds a new cross-over unit. (Hint: it's an upgraded version of the paratrooper.)
This unit is the:
-World Congress is the most amazing thing ever.
If Gods and Kings revitalized the first half of the game, BNW is all about the second, the post-industrial part of the game. I highly recommend it.
