The Advanced Elithian Database

The Advanced Elithian database is under construction now. Here is some additionel information on the AED:

-A new usergroup, the Dataproviders, has been made. This group can moderate the AED, so that its members can add/change the content of the AED. Membership can be requested, but will not always be granted.
-If anyone who is not a member of the dataproviders wants to add information to the AED, they will have to contact a dataprovider using PMs or by replying to the topic in question.
-Members of all groups can only reply to already-made topics. New topics can only be made by the administrator.
-There will be three topics: Environments, which provides information on Elithian environments, Animals, which provides information on Elithian animals, and Plantlife, which provides information on Elithian plantlife.

Questions about the AED, along with suggestions, complaints etc. should go here.

Great addition to the forum. I would need to be a dataprovider, to describe the Dug-dug, unless you want me to simply communicate these informations for you to then add them.

Some changes have been made to the AED: The category now exists of three forums; environments, animals and plantlife, instead of just one (the Advanced Elithian Database). This has been done so that the animals and plantlife can be divided into several classes, such as the mammals, wyverns and reptiles.

Okay. I hope everybody will help to fill it and make an extensive database on the Xanaverse !(The universe was made of the Xanafir, after all, right ?)

And maybe one day we'll have to make an "Wikilithia", if the forum becomes popular and all we invented becomes so important we need to put in a different place !(I think this'll never happen, though)

Anyone who wants his/her empire added to the AED can now send me a PM or a reply to this thread, and I'll add your empire asap. You should provide me with the content (you can also send it in portions, of course) using PMs. I hope to see some of your empires in the AED soon too! (You could also request membership of the 'Dataproviders' group, if you prefer that.)

And, by the way, I too have been thinking of a 'Wikilithia' (I like the names you came up with, Veoline!), but I too think it should wait untill we get quite a lot more members.

And I'm glad you like the name. But I think that when the time will come, if it ever does, the Wikilithia will be really full ! We're inventing an entire universe from scratch, after all.

I've just updated part of the description of the Dremeton empire, although only the general description and biological section. I'll add more later, maybe tomorrow, because it's getting late here and because I need to do other things tonight.

The Aeginian empire has been updated a little again. The biological section is now most likely complete, and I've started updating the government section. I will add more data to the thread piece by piece, so be sure to check the thread very now and then for additions!

Also, I will probably update the animals and the enviornments sections soon, when I don't have too much homework to do.

(On a side-not sorry for being inactive, I got bored Spore and the Main stream community but forgot about this place at the the same time.... Losing the link didn't help either!)

it'd be great if you could make a part on the Notix. They're such a diverse species, so it'd be interesting to know everything about them.

And it's fine if you were inactive. This forum takes alot of time, when you're an active member, so we can't expect everyone to dedicate that much time.

The waters have finally been added to the Environments section. Soon I will update the Animals section again, by at least adding more creatures. I think the description of most animals will have to come later, though.

Just wondering are Dataproviders allowed to create topics in the AED or is it only Aegonian? Also are people allowed to post on the topics? Just wondering how it works!

I think the Dataproviders are allowed to create topics, although I never tried. And anyone can post, although it is only supposed to be a dictionary of sorts, not a school book where you comment. Of course, if someone has things to say, he can post.

Anyway, I've updated the Aeginian Empire thread again. Now there's some info on the military (but it's certainly not finished yet), and a new section: Culture and others.
For now, only the alphabet and the all-new numeral system can be found in this new section. This numeral system is quite logical, but you may need to read it a few times before you fully understand. The biggest problem is probably the fact that the suffixes used are very much alike, sometimes making it hard to tell them apart.

Also, I have a very slightly related question to all of you: Are you able to make full use of the sporepedia and sporum? Whenever I try to access any one of them, all I get are internal server errors, blank or unfinished pages and more than often a bunch of nonsense errors: I got told my browser made an impossible or vague request of the server, and the only thing I did was try to access the site as I've always done?!
Due to these errors, I couldn't add more data to the Military section, for I've no access to my Spore creations right now (I'm not using the computer on which I've installed Spore).

I've been having problems too. My account constantly logs out, automatically, and I keep having error reports and all. And coincidentally, the Elithian alliance thread in the Sporum is the one which is most difficult to access, at least for me, as I have to retry like 10 times before I can finally access it.

Either EAxis is doing some sort of site maintenance (very improbable), or they are finally letting the Spore sites die... I guess uploading creations won't go very well now either, but I haven't tried yet.
