21/3/2011: Well for simple organisations sake, I have decided to make (yet another) thread this time dedicated to the running and joining of Dirtgem Fortress in the RP server... (BTW Kingnecromancer, you need to tell me what you would like to do as your job!)

Dirtgem Fortress, one of the few remaining estates of the Notix Family, is a warriors city dedicated to mining. Gaining its name from the mountain of soil it is built within, the city still holds the last treasures of the Notix Family and some other noble warriors to protect it in times of danger...

This lovely fortress has the following facilities,
2 Farms, (Emerald Fields and Sapphire Pools)
10 Snug homes, (5 in the Topaz street and 5 in the Opal street)
A mine,
A Storeroom, (Perfect to get rid of your junk!)
A Church, (The Rising Sun Returns!)
My Diamond Suite ( )
And a Mining Guildroom (With a Skill trainer!)

And rules? Well these are the simple rules!
1. You shall not fight amongst yourselves,
3. Co-operation is King, Help those who need it,
3. Stand by your neighbour, Protect one and other,
7. The Fortress must not fall,

Well, i could either Help jorgas as anouther miner, wander the halls as a gaurd, or be a farmer. i would personely like to be the mayors private Vanguard party(i have no idea what it is, but it sounds cool). If not, the captain of the guard. right back with numerical riddle!

How about An old family idea, where there would be either 3 or 5(depending on how many people we get!) Who were the first families in the town, the founders to be precise:My idea, The notix family, Necrosis family(mine) and (jorgas pick a name!)family are the old families of the town and Are treated with great respect! how do you like it!

I don't think we will add that feature?
More commands, larger rooms are good examples for "premium members".
If our game gets popular, I think we should add a buy-able premium feature, which is free for the Elithian Alliance members.

I guess also that the Elithian Alliance members are more likely to also become Mods...


I will add the family system so that Older, Elithian Members can get higher ranks within the city easier...

Therefore the Necrosis family is the head of the guards, you must protect the city and its mine from any threat, and the Rytonimus Family are the Mining Expedition leaders, meaning they have my permission to leave the city and build temporary homes/bases on mines of interest/value, taking other miners with the (It should help with the lack of building across the landscape )

So how should i be able to protect the city well? Should i get guards to help me, or bonuses, like better weapon skill?

Of course you will need to train your combat skills, but unfocussing yourself is a bad thing... see DwarfCraft in the Big Update thread for details,


And yes we will recruit new guards although non-guards will still fight!

I am miner foreman! I will command thee smaller bees to mine thee iron and smelt thee the finest steel longswords! Andrew Necrosis will send me guards to fend of pesky elven warriors and thee undead! Without me, your magesty, I don't think we're here!

Its a chain! you get ores for me, uhhhh, i realized, we need a blacksmith! he smelts them and turns into stuff, and i use stuff to fend off the pointy eared taller than us guys while you harvest more minerals!

Hmm' instead of a priest, we could have a Brotherhood leader, which would be a secret dwarf cult which are like assasins, not killing each other, but high priority elf targets.
We could use the church as a church most time, and we can have meetings some of the time, and the brotherhood could also use it for their own meetings. Also, we can still have a priest, and, um, this must be cunfusing, huh? so i just mean we should have assasins and use the church from time to time as a meating room.
