also, people kept saying me that the server would be on regularly, or something like that, but when will it be on exactly? btw, i think that beta is only a pack of bugs. my usual server keeps crashing, i can't enter many servers and i often lag SO HARD in many other servers. Mad

My computer lags a lot too with Minecraft. Sad

Also, the server is not working right now. I agree with hollof, my game is being so lagy now, right after beta came out.

There are a lot of complaints on the Minecraft forums about the lag as well...

Just sit it out and stay away from forest biomes... (trees cause lag!)

Notch is still working on more patchs! Ready to bang this game up a notch1

Nope... They do live in the same timezone as you though... (And I'm only an hour behind)

I Cant...

Also due to the lag increases from leaf decay being reimplemented, going near trees drops my fps to 1....

So the server will probably be unplayable for a week, while Notch either fixes the lag, or removes leaf decay again...

Well, we were at school this morning (holidays start next week, yay!), so that's why the server was down. And we too have noticed that Beta seems to have brought more bugs than fixes, and that the lag is incredible... However, at the Guild city (Official name's not known yet) the lag is nearly gone, luckily. Oh, and if indeed the trees cause the lag (quite possible, I guess) I dont want to be anywhere near Gerynia right now!

Anyways, I've got quite some homework to do right now, so I won't be online for a while. I believe Boy also has a lot of homewrok to do, so the server will probably be offline untill somewhere later this day...
However, during the next two weeks we'll be online a whole lot (holidays), and I hope more bugs will be fixed by then, so that we can finally have the server online all day long.

Oh, and @ Hollof: You can use any other skin if you wish to, so don't worry. The only thing that is truly highly recommended is the texture pack (which isn't completely finished, though), as some blocks have had quite a makeover, making some structures look really weird without the pack.

Yes it is the trees that cause lag, It's Notchs fault for bad coding. The Leaf Decay processes it a check that every leaf block takes every second....

Also the beta update has fixed the glitch where you could throw an item and pick it up again to restore it's durability!

Mine isn't painful... Just irritating with watering eyes and nose, as well as a drain on my energy...

I'm using this time to gather inspiration and learn how to use Redstone....

It will Make Mjzore a lot cooler! I mean the lock for my house was great but large! (Hey even Ryiin said it worked well!)

Well lucky you. Since I can't even spend 10 minutes without a glitch, which crashes Minecraft, I haven't learned to do anything beyond making tools, and even then, I haven't succeeded in making any yet!

I wouldn't bother playing 'till it's fix'd!

Okay with tools, chop down some logs and press "I"

Put 1 stack of logs in the 4x4 square you see (anyslot) and take out the planks you get as a result.

Put 1 plank in each square and take out the workbench you get as a result.

Put down the work bench and then make stuff according to the previous link I gave you!
