Forum theme makeover

I've changed the look of our forum by changing the background, replacing symbols and buttons with custom-build symbols and buttons, changing colours, and a lot more.

I'd like to know which theme all of you prefer, and if you have any suggestions to improve the looks of our forum, please post them here.

I love the new makeover ! Now it seems more "professional", and actually, the scenes you chose as a background are more, more, harmonious, yes, that's it. It's strange but the current background has a special effect on me. It seems more peaceful, more in accord with nature, and it is soothing for the eye and mind. And I like the new buttons, in the form of the Elithian symbol. Also, what are the buttons in the top, with a sort of cross on them ? What does that letter represent ?

Those buttons on top of the page are Elithian 'E's. And I'm glad you like the new theme! The background is from Final Fantasy XIV (I'm absolutely into that game now), and it's one of the most beautiful and harmonious landscapes I've ever seen, so that's why I chose it.

I suggest a different backround color for posts, but thats just because I just don't like all white to much... you don't have to change anything though, just suggesting. And the rest looks great!

I find white very relaxing, and it has a soothing effect on the mind. It goes very well with the Alliance's goal of bringing harmony to its members.

Plus it makes any colour font easy to read... Well except white of course...


Although a pale/very dark Green or Blue could work...

I find the light very good as it is. I have problems with bright colors, so I prefer not to have any green or bright blue.

I agree with thunderpants, perhaps a navy blue, or a lighter one like the color of your planet in your profile pic, Veoline...

Okay. So now, we have to wait for Aegonian to agree, and change it. Although I reiterate my support for white, blue would be fine,

I've been experimenting with the background colours, but changing the colours to light blue requires a huge amount of work: Every single picture used on this forum will have to be rebuild, for they were build to be used on a white background. If I am going to change the background colours, I'm going to change everything that could use a change at once, for I think it is unnecessary to rebuild all images for only a single small change.

Um, that's unfortunate. If it's really too much work, you can drop the idea, of course. But does it at least look good with light blue?

I think white looks slightly better. I'll see if I can change the colours very slightly so that the images still look good, but I think the change would go mostly unnoticed.

If everyone wants to keep the white, I'm perfectly fine with it. Why didn't you manifest yourselves when we were discussing the utility of the change? I prefer white, as I already said.
