I had a great birthday, didn't do anything special but I had a great time with my family.

This week is the autumn holiday where I live, so while I do still have some projects to work on, I've got quite a bit more spare time now. We should organize a new Civ 5 match soon! Or possibly a Beyond Earth match!

I will get Beyond Earth, when I'm sure it's worth the cost.

No offence to Firaxis, but it has less factions than Civ 5, and looks rather linear. I'm going to wait for lots of gameplay and to see how unplayabley buggy it is.

Yeah I too plan to wait a bit. It's out tomorrow, so it won't be hard to judge it soon enough.

I have played Beyond Earth, and in my opinion, it isn't very linear or buggy. However, there aren't very many factions, which is a kind of annoying. Another plus is that there aren't any extremely good early wonders.
