Server's never up?

Hey guys, Been a while, though I've not seemingly been around, I've stalked the forum a tad, been meaning to ask what's going on? Not seen the server up for at least a month? Was all going well then after the graphics card broke on the host machine I never heard from anyone again?!

Is the server still running? Am I missing out?! D:

I think we were waiting for the plugins to update, and they never all got updated as the releases where so soon after each other. I'm not sure though. This entire place seems to grinding to a halt! I want the Rp to start (after about a year of prep!)

I know lots of the server ran off a plugin that is no-longer supported, so may be problematic...

I think the most important plugins would be those running on spout, those make us have other names and force the use of a texture pack, however for a better answer I think we need either Aegonian or Ryiin to give us an answer. (and if you take a look at the bukkit site, the latest build is 1.8.1 compatible and not 1.0.1)

That latest development build is 1.0.1, and most plugins will work without updating...



Although in the meantime I do want to change my application. I realised how boring potion making is...

Who cares about plugins. All you need are ones where you can't greif, and that's about all.
All other plugins make the whole thing much much harder.

Unfortunately, for some unknown reason, our entire house gets disconnected from the Internet every few minutes... As long as that is still the case, we will be unable to put the server back online: The connection would reset every five minutes or so.

That's really bad. Have you contacted you service provider?


Also I presume you already use one, but there is (free online) software to allow a dynamic ip to be static. I've never used it but I know it's out there!

Server nonsense. My favorite thing, All I do on my server is be on creative secretly while the others do work for me in the fields. Feudal system.

Ever since you said that, my internet has been acting almost exactly like that. Only difference is that instead of disconnecting, it gets a very bad connection and anything that hasn't loaded won't finish loading until after a few minutes. I think you might have cursed my internet by accident (OR MAYBE ON PURPOSE?!?)

Yay! Wait, what?!? I'm on wireless and (most) people that play on my server say they don't lag, so I don't have any problems with my internet connection (other than my PS3 not being wired, which makes it so I can't connect my PSP to play MHFU online :'().

This may be what happened. I got it from random website, passed it on to Aegonian, then He gave it to lunark.

Necro, you have aright to be paranoid. You told me about that virus your computer caught...

Apparently, the problem only seems to occur when a specific account on this computer is using the internet. Unfortunately, that account is the one we generally use to run the server. We'll soon try to run the server on other accounts, to see if that fixes the problem.

In the meantime, I've been working on a 'little' project for the server: Yet another completely new map, but this time, one made using Worldpainter.
I will soon post some pictures of the new map in-game, and if you guys like it, we might use it for our roleplay. The lore and such will not be changed (only updated), so new applications and such will be unnecessary.

We are probably going to add the 'Holy Lands' as another dimension/world, which will be accessible using a multi-world plug-in.

One thing you guys should know about this new world is that it is ENORMOUS. Baerdel's forest is larger than the entire previous map, and that's only part of this new world. I advice you not to wander too far from the roads, because you are very likely to get lost.

Gaekylha (the roleplay-world) has been divided into several sectors (or whatever we'll call them in the roleplay, sectors sounds a bit too modern for a medieval world):
Baerdel - Basically a single, giant forest. This is where the Bomur live.
Gridania - Home to swamps, forests and plains, Gridania houses the Aeduri.
Daggerhelm - Home to hills, mountains and forests, this is where the Gordnor live.
Worakk - A forested region bordering Dhagura, this is where the Draton set up their colony.
Dryar Mesas - A giant desert separated from the other sectors by a large mountain range.

Gaekylha is one of the provinces of a yet-to-be-named continent of a yet-to-be-named planet. Two other named provinces are:
-Dhagura, home to the Dhaguran Empire, which is located west of Gaekylha.
-Rhahinelm, homeland of the Bomur, located south of Gaekylha.

I will upload a map of Gaekylha soon.

The map is awesesome. Please don't use Spoutcraft though, it really messes me up with all my servers and stuff. Oh yeah, and IF I come back, I'll change my Desc.
