Alliance Archives

Topic One: Creaton, Thelea, Darghoron and the Ventrons

Darghoron is the planet that houses the Xanafian Hand, an ancient tool that has shaped our entire history. It is all we have ever wanted, and it shall give us the power to touch the Xanafir. As you know, our true bodies are much smaller then our suits, and our Hyvonian bodies. These suits were designed to change our bodies, and they did their job. But there was only one reason for us to change our bodies: So that we could use the Xanafian Hand.

The Xanafian Hand is like a glove, and it perfectly fits on a Hyvonian hand. Wearing the Xanafian Hand means that you can touch and hold the Xanafir, and thereby have ultimate power.

But retrieving the Xanafian Hand is not easy. We must survive Darghoron's weapons and slay the guardians if we are to find it. This is why we warned you not to go there, and it is why we have sent a secondary fleet to assist the primary fleet.

What we know of ancient tales is that the Centens constructed the Xanafian Hand so that they could use the Xanafir to bring peace to this universe, but things went wrong. Some Centens got obsessed by power and wanted to use the Xanafir to destroy all others. These obsessed Centens were assasinated and the Xanafian Hand was to be locked away. That's when the Centens constructed Darghoron, which is a completely artificial planet, as a place to hide the Xanafian Hand.

Those who protect it are the Xanafian Guardians; robotic beings who are produced deep inside Darghoron. They will protect the Xanafian Hand at all costs, but I am sure that we will defeat them. After all, we've been studying Centensian technology for almost an eternity.

What we want to do with the Xanafir is to be among the Centens. We shall rule over all others, but we will not use it to harm innocent beings. Those like the Ventrons shall be punished by ultimate destruction, those like you will live their lives as you've always done.

Darghorok Prime, Creaton's personal dreadnought, was brought down by Darghoron's defences not long after Darghoron activated its EMP defences. We have located the wreckage, but we can not reach it due to Guardian activity. It remains unknown to us whether Creaton still lives. We have, as Creaton ordered us, continued the assault over Darghoron, even though our fleet keeps shrinking. If this continues for much longer, we will have to abandon the mission, but we will not leave before we know what happened to our great leader.

We have cleared the area around Darghorok Prime's wreckage and we have been searching fro Creaton. We have searched the entire wreckage, and we found that Creaton is missing. No body was found, nor did we find any signs of life in the area. We know not where Creaton could have possibly gone.

On another, more fortunate note, the assault over Darghoron is going well. We seem to be on the winning hand now, and we will soon reach the Core, where the Xanafian Hand is said to be located. Even if we might not find our great leader we will continue his quest. Our race shall be among the Centens!

We have located Creaton by activating a certain chip that was implanted into his armor. When we finally received the data on his location, we were stunned... Creaton has left this galaxy, the Gar-Aerith, and is currently located somewhere in our satelite-galaxy, the Kri-Aerith. We are currently searching for the system where Creaton seems to be. We ask if any other empire is willing to send one, maybe a few ships to head for this system once it is found.

As for the attack on Thelea, we had no choice. It was our duty to protect this universe from a madman like Creaton. We could not allow them to get their hands on the Xanafian Hand. We used the ancient Centensian device you call Regulus to destroy them before they could get too powerful. But they found a way to defend themselves from the beam. They placed their largest dreadnought in front of their planet, and made it enter hyperspace at the exact moment the beam impacted. This utterly destroyed their dreadnought, and it disturbed all hyperspace travel at that moment, probably destroying hundreds of other ships. But even worse, it saved part of their planet. If it wasn't for the Hyverium in its crust it would have still fallen apart... This too happened to our home many years later, but we were less fortunate, as our planet held only little Hyverium. If we do not stabilize our home soon, she will fall apart, leaving us completely homeless.

Creaton was born as any normal Thelean. He was no more than a small red being, covered in strange tentacles. But soon it would seem he was not so much like the other Theleans. He grew much bigger, stronger and more intelligent than his brothers. Rumors speak of a Centens granting him his powers, but we are not sure if this is true. Once he became an adult, he started investigating Thelea's crust, where he first found Hyverium. Then he turned to investigating the Thelean body, finding that their bodies contain Hyverium as well. Then he investigated the function of Hyverium. He found that it was stronger than almost any other material, and that it was easy to build things with. He wanted more power, he wanted to reach the stars, so he started building a spaceship. Once he finished it, he asked others to be the first ever to leave their planet, and they accepted. Upon the ship's return, the Theleans inside were dead. Creaton concluded their bodies were too weak to enter a zone like outer space without advanced protection. Then, according to rumors, the Centens appeared again, showing Creaton the Xanafian Hand. Creaton started designing a new body, a Hyverium suit fitting the Xanafian Hand. He knew that if he would wear it, his body would adapt to the suit, eventually taking its shape. He made himself the strongest of all suits, and he started to sell weaker suits to other Theleans. He grew rich, and eventually became so powerful that the Theleans saw him as their leader.

Creaton, now leader of his species, had big plans. He wanted to leave his system, to search for alien life. He found only weak empires, and he conquered them all. His empire grew bigger, and so did his fleet. He then remembered why he had built his suit: To find the Xanafian Hand. He searched for it for thousands of years, and everytime he conquered another empire his knowledge of the Xanafian Hand grew bigger. Then he found us, the first empire that he coud not conquer as easily as he was used to. We won several battles over our planet, and he left us. We knew of his madness, and his obsession for power. We saw him destroy entire civilisations, just to find the Xanafian Hand. Then we decided that we had to stop him, before he could destroy even more. We located Regulus and activated it. He found out about our plans, and he prepared a defence against regulus: The dreadnought mentioned earlier. You know how the story continues from here on...

Topic Two: The Aegi, from Terra to Elithia and Hyrolia

The ancient Terran writings have been translated completely, so we can finally publish a brief summary of the events they describe.
The writings, which appear to be historical reports, describe many events from the after-apocalypse Terran society, from the rise to the fall of the 'New Empire'. Let's start at the beginning of the historical reports:
Only six years after Apophis struck, the Terrans started rebuilding their once so great empire. After a few years, large parts of America and Africa were rebuild, but Europe and Asia were still completely in ruins, for they suffered from the impact much more. At the time of 72 AA (After Apocalypse), a flourishing society had formed again, but there was one mayor problem: The Terrans had split into two factions, the Astericans and the Heatherians. The Astericans lived much like the pre-apocalypse terrans, whilst the Heatherians lived much like we, the Aegi, do. The Heatherians were the decendants of those who supported the Aeginian Ideology, but who were unable to escape Terra.
As these two factions grew in size, so did their hatred of the other faction. It was not long before they declared war on each other, which led to 61 years of heavy warfare. In the end, the Astericans emerged victorious, for they did not worry about harming Nature in the war, and could therefore create many more much more powerful weapons.
The Heatherians, however, had send dozens of fleets into space, to search for us, their lost brethren. Because these reports were written by Astericans, we know not of the Heatherians' fate, but it could mean that somewhere in this Aerith, there are still Heatherians searching for us.

Altough the Astericans were victorious, their problems were far from over. After only a few years, the Astericans' had gone too far in 'abusing' the planet's resources. One by one, species of plants and animals went extinct, and the new bio-engineered species could not survive either. Terra's waters were too polluted to succesfully filter, resulting in the death of billions. Bringing water from other planets had become too expansive, and so had the other ways of obtaining water.
By the time of 137 AA, a new war raged on Terra. In this war, people fought for the little food and water still available. After only a year, this war too had almost come to an end, for there was almost no-one left of the once so great Asterican Empire. This is were the writer of the last report said his farewells. He knew he would not live much longer, and ended his report with this sentence:

"If only we had listened..."

"We've sent some of our scientists to Hyveria in order to investigate the Axiom. For a long time we thought that the Axiom was nothing more than a powerful genesis device, but our investigation proves the opposite. We were able to reach the Axiom without being noticed by the Hyvon. When we reached it, we started investigating this strange machine. One of our scientists accidentely damaged the rocks that covered a large part of the Axiom, and he found something that looked like a door. We then started to dig away the rest of the rocks, and tried to open the door. What we found there was a huge pit, so deep we couldn't possibly see the bottom. We carefully entered the pit, using our newest technology on anti-gravitational suits to slowly decend into the pit. We saw all kinds of strange symbols on the walls, and when we finally reached the bottom, we were flabbergasted...

What we found there were towering giants, larger than any Hyvon we had seen before. These things reached around 50 metres in height... There were five of these giants positioned in a row, and all of them seemed to be in a state of hibernation. When we continued further into the Axiom, which seemed to be larger than any structure ever build on Elithia, we found another door. Behind it was a room, in which a few strange beings were discussing something. These beings weren't modern Hyvon, nor were they Ancient Hyvon. They did not seem to notice us. We were unable to understand most of their language, but we could hear something about 'returning to the people'. After one of us made some noise by turning on his communications system, the beings noticed us. We quickly fled back to the entrance and left the Axiom."

From this investigation we learned that the Axiom is more than what it seems to be. First, we thought that it was a just a powerful machine, no more than ten metres high. Now we now that it is more of a building, which is located almost completely underground. This must also be the reason that the Humans were incapible of digging any further under Hyveria, after they found a strange metal wall.

We hereby inform all governments of Elithia of this discovery. Even the Hyvon seemed not to know of this. We also ask the Hyvon if we may continue this investigation.
We also apologize to the Hyvon for entering their territory without permission.

We had to evacuate everyone working on the AI project a few hours ago. Suddenly the grounds were shaking, and an earthquake of immense power took place. The source seemed to be the Axiom itself, and scans indicated that the structure was moving. Now that the aftershocks are over we've been able to see the effects of this earthquake. First of all, huge damage to the buildings all over Hyveria, as the shock could be felt all over the island. But more interesting is the fact that the structures we saw as 'pipes' have risen to the surface, revealing enormous railguns. These railguns use an elictric current to fire a bullet of unknown material at over 20 Mach.

Our new theory about the Axiom is that it is a defensive structure, and it is now activating due to the incoming fleet. Maybe the Axiom is our chance to stop this fleet. But it remains unknown who the beings below are, and what they really want. We will continue our investigation right now.

All this data was taken from the original Spore Forum thread. I have slightly edited some messages to fix spelling mistakes and the like, but most of it was copied and pasted directly. I will continue looking for important messages soon.

If anyone else is interested in searching for important messages on the Spore Forum thread/Original Roleplay thread; you are free to post anything you find here. I will take a look at it and, if it is accepted, add it to the Alliance Archives.
