Interesting new idea [MORE SERVER UP-TIME] [DROPBOX]
Some of you might already have noticed that I used Dropbox for the texturepack downloadlink. Here's a small description I stole from their website:
"Dropbox is a free service that lets you bring all your photos, docs, and videos anywhere. This means that any file you save to your Dropbox will automatically save to all your computers, phones and even the Dropbox website. Dropbox also makes it super easy to share with others, whether you're a student or professional, parent or grandparent. Even if you accidentally spill a latte on your laptop, have no fear! You can relax knowing that Dropbox always has you covered, and none of your stuff will ever be lost."
Basically, Dropbox creates a folder on your computer, where you can store files in (up to 10GB for free, starting with 2GB). Having more computers linked to your Dropbox account means that any file you save to your Dropbox folder will automatically save to all your computers. In other words, Dropbox saves your folder and its content to their server, and synchronizes the folder to all your computers. But wait, there's more: If you create a Public folder in your Dropbox, it automatically generates links to all the files stored in the Public folder. The only thing you have to do is copy the link and post it online to share that specific file with your friends. Public links can be shared and accessed by anyone, not just Dropbox users! You can not link to the Public folder itself, or folders in your Public folder (though you can link to files within sub-folders). Since the files are stored on a Dropbox' server, you do not have to be online to share files with others. More information about the Public folder (if I did not cover all information yet), can be found here (LINK).
The reason why I'm telling you about Dropbox, is the following: you can share folders with others. I did not test this feature yet, but technically, we can put our Minecraft server in a shared folder. I will share this folder with trustworthy users that are responsible enough to share all the server files with, so we can guarantee more server up-time. I am going to make a rule list for the "trusted users", to make sure everything will go smoothly.
Make sure to sign up through this link, it will give 250MB bonus space! (so 2.25GB to begin with)

- How secure is Dropbox?
- How public are Public links? How private are my other files?
- What happens if two people change the same file?
- Does Dropbox keep backups of my files?

Re: Interesting new idea [MORE SERVER UP-TIME] [DROPBOX]
I have DropBox under LordNotix already. I would love to help with the server if I get a chance, as I've been running a server for a project already... One who will soon deliver...
I may also add an extra fun file with my Neontro Game files in as well if I can
